Cardiff Half Marathon

Team entries into the 2024 Cardiff Half sold out

Team Challenge entries into the 2024 Principality Cardiff Half Marathon have now sold out in what will be the biggest race in the event’s history.

Although all spaces into the 13.1-mile event on Sunday 6 October are now full, groups who are still looking to challenge themselves through running in the Welsh capital don’t need to panic.

Entries are still live for the CDF 10K Team Challenge on Sunday 1 September and are open to corporate, community or international teams of five or more. Companies such as Specsavers, Five Guys, IMG and Lab 22 are already signed up to take part.

It’s a perfect team-building exercise that can act as an ideal fundraising mechanism – all while helping to improve overall health and wellbeing, inspiring healthy competition and strengthening group bonds.

Hattie Jardine, Partnerships Manager at event organisers, Run 4 Wales, said: “There are so many benefits that can be had from taking on a shared health and fitness challenge. It’s not only a fantastic opportunity to raise both money and morale, but it can also help to improve team cohesion and productivity through movement and exercise.

“While Team Challenge spaces into the Principality Cardiff Half Marathon are now sold out, there’s still room left in our increasingly popular CDF 10K, which takes in many of the iconic city centre landmarks as well as the serene greenery of Cardiff’s parks.”

Teams that enter the event compete to be crowned the fastest.

While all members of the team will need to run the full 10K distance, the overall score will be made up of the speediest five times from each team, with the quickest average time winning.

The challenge costs £30 per person and includes their race space and entry into the Team Challenge, access to a partner dashboard as well as a finisher’s t-shirt and medal. A trophy will also be awarded to the fastest team.
