Fundraising is at the heart of the Cardiff Half – with many runners choosing to raise money for good causes and over 100 official charities associated with the event. Running for a good cause will give a huge boost to the satisfaction you’ll feel on finishing the race – and keep you motivated during your training.
Once general entries in the race have sold out, only the remaining spaces reserved via our official charities will be available if you are looking to gain an entry to take part.
Many will have free or discounted rate spaces available, just get in touch with them for more details. They can give you official sponsorship forms, details on how you can fundraise with Enthuse and offer specialist help and support.
Over 100 official charities had spaces in the 2024 event. More charities for 2025 will be listed here in due course, so check back later if the cause you’d like to support is not listed.
If you are a charity interested in purchasing a fundraising bundle, please email [email protected].
*An admin fee will be charged on top of race entry by our online registration platform provider. This fee is non-refundable.

Children and families are at the heart of everything we do at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity.
We ensure that treatment and outcomes for children can continue to improve by funding new and innovative medical equipment and facilities. We support children and families in the here and now through our emotional support service and the much loved play specialist team and we invest in the future by providing technology that helps train the bright clinicians of tomorrow. We also strive to make the hospital a less frightening and more familiar place for children by sprinkling a little fun and happiness into hospital days.
As a charity that relies entirely on gifts and donations – this is all made possible thanks to people like you.

We campaign and raise awareness so the needs of people with MND are recognised and addressed by wider society. People with MND, their families and carers are at the heart of everything we do.
When a child’s life will be short, no family should have to live it on their own.
No parent ever imagines that their child’s life will be short. Sadly, this is the reality facing thousands of families in Wales. We can’t stop this happening, but we can make sure that no one in Wales lives their child’s short life alone.
By running the Cardiff Half Marathon in support of Tŷ Hafan, you make sure that families in Wales get the support they need through their child’s life, death and beyond.
When you choose to run with Team Tŷ Hafan you will get:
A discounted space at only £10
A free running vest when you hit £100 in sponsorship
Fundraising materials and support throughout your journey
A running community – join our Facebook group and group run to meet fellow runners
An invitation to visit the hospice
A post-race celebration
If you’ve already secured your place then please contact [email protected] who will be able to support you every step of the way.

Every day in the UK over 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke, robbing survivors and their families of the life they once knew. Mums, dads, grandparents, young people, even children can have a stroke. Brain damage, caused by a stroke, can leave survivors unable to move, see, speak, or even swallow. The effects can be more than physical, too, with many survivors also left with personality changes and depression. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. Each year, we provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors, fund vital scientific research and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke. We’re here for stroke survivors and their loved ones, from the moment they enter the new and frightening post-stroke world, supporting them every step of the way as they find their strength and their way back to life.
