Set in the heart of Cardiff’s historic Bay, the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run is a fast, flat and friendly event for all ages and abilities. Previously known as the Cardiff Bay 5 Mile, the race returned in 2017 with a little makeover and stunning new 10km course. It attracts a sell-out 6500 runners year on year.

The route takes in all of Cardiff Bay’s most iconic landmarks, starting and finish in Roald Dahl Plass, passing the Wales Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay, the Pierhead Building, Senedd, Porth Teigr and the Cardiff Bay Barrage.

The popular race is a firm favourite in the Welsh running calendar, boasting one of the flattest marathon courses in the UK. Incorporated into the Royal Welsh Smallholding & Countryside Festival, the Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival has quickly established itself as one of the UK’s most popular trail running events, offering a series of thrilling and scenic races in the heart of Mid-Wales.

The 10K trail course starts and finishes in the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells and take in valleys, fields, woodland tracks and stunning forestry. The 3K Trail, Family Mile and Toddler Trail, offer something for all ages and abilities.
