SAVE MONEY ON CARDIFF BAY 5 ENTRY

PUT A SPRING IN YOUR STEP AT THE CARDIFF BAY 5-MILE

Put a spring in your step this May Day Bank Holiday and take part in the flat, fast and fun Cardiff Bay 5-Mile on Monday 5th May 2014 (11AM).

A rarely run distance and the perfect challenge for anyone looking to keep fit, raise money for charity, improve their PB or push themselves and their training, the Cardiff Bay 5-mile is suited to all abilities. The addition of a fantastic 2km fun run also makes this a great event that family members of all ages can enjoy.

The main race boasts a sweeping 5 mile course around Cardiff’s famous bay area and includes the popular Cardiff Bay barrage.  Runners are sure to be impressed with some of the picturesque water views that the route incorporates.

Previously organised by Cystic Fibrosis Trust, who have delivered a regularly successful, friendly and engaging event, this year’s event comes under the stewardship of Cardiff Half Marathon race organisers Run 4 Wales. Cystic Fibrosis Trust, however, remain an integral part of the popular event as charity partner of the race.

Soosie Rhodes Senior Events Manager for Cystic Fibrosis Trust said

“After ten years organising this event, we are thrilled Run 4 Wales wish to take over the run given their expertise.  As the official charity partner, our goal is to recruit as many people as possible to take part, then use their place to run with Team CF to help us beat cystic fibrosis!”

Organisers Run 4 Wales are similarly excited by the partnership and the future growth of the event.

Annabelle Mason, Marketing Manager for Run 4 Wales said: “Cardiff Bay 5 Mile is a brilliant event, with so many selling points – the distance, course, inexpensive entry price, it has everything going for it.  Our aim is to build on the fantastic work that Cystic Fibrosis Trust has done in establishing the event as one of the region’s most popular Spring races.

Entry prices for the race start at £11 (affiliated runners) for the 5-mile race, whilst the family fun run costs £5 per participant. There is also a fantastic money saving offer of a £10 entry for runners who have already signed up to the 2014 Cardiff Half Marathon.
