Oysho Cardiff Half runners can collect t-shirts ahead of race day
For the first time ever runners taking part in the Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon can collect their t-shirt ahead of the event to wear on race day.
This year’s race t-shirt has been designed and supplied by the event’s title and technical partner, Oysho.
The coral participant tee features the iconic Cardiff Castle and also includes the words ‘Together, we go further’ on the back – a nod to this year’s race theme ‘We’re All In’ which celebrates the community and connection found through running.
To help reveal this year’s t-shirt design, Sam Griffiths (@globerunnergriff) and Lauren Green (@lauren.green.fitness) took part in a collaborative project with Cardiff Life which saw them appear on a one-off front cover of the magazine as well as in a high-octane video shared on the Cardiff Half social channels. Both will also be taking part in this year’s event.
All runners taking part in this year’s Oysho Cardiff Half have got the option to pick up their t-shirts from the event village on City Hall Lawns on Friday 3 October between 12-6pm or on Saturday 4 October between 8am-5pm.
As usual participants can also collect their t-shirt after finishing the race in the finishers funnel too.
Matt Newman, Chief Executive at event organisers Run 4 Wales, said: “We’re so excited to offer runners the chance to pick up their race t-shirt ahead of the event on Sunday 5 October – allowing them to wear their commemorative garment on race day.
“There’s lots happening in our event village across the weekend so if you’re planning on coming down early to pick up your t-shirt, why not take part in some yoga from Studio Tarw on the main stage or listen to a DJ set on the Friday, or soak in all the atmosphere of Cardiff Half Junior which kicks off race weekend on the Saturday.
“We’re looking forward to seeing our runners in this year’s t-shirt design, coming together to show that together, we can go further.”
