Cardiff Half Marathon

Mon Motors drive Run 4 Wales on

Mon Motors and their range of eco-friendly vehicles will be at the wheel to steer Run 4 Wales events towards more success in 2020.

The family-owned group of new and used car dealerships have joined forces with the nation’s largest mass-participation events company after partnering for the first time last year. Close to 50,000 runners will follow the lead of one of Mon Motors’ branded cars around four of South Wales’s most iconic locations.

The Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run will raise the curtain on another blockbuster year of running on Sunday 29 March, before attention turns to those taking on the challenge of a lifetime at the ABP Newport Wales Marathon on Sunday 19 April.

Mon Motors will be front and centre again when the Healthspan Wales 10K Series lands at Barry Island on August 2 as runners gear up for the annual festival of running in the heart of the Welsh capital.

The eyes of the world were on the Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon last October as 27,500 participants created history at the biggest Cardiff Half yet. The Audi E-Tron supplied by Mon Motors paved the way for the Cardiff Half men’s course record to be smashed by Leonard Langat – who took more than a minute off the previous standard to finish in 59min 29sec – and they will lead the race from outside Cardiff Castle again this October.

Mon Motors Cardiff Audi Head of Business Chris Knibbs said: “Mon Motors is delighted to partner for Run 4 Wales for another year of unmissable running events. As a family-owned business, community is at the heart of everything we do, and Run 4 Wales events give thousands of local runners and supporters the opportunity to come together for a celebration of running.

“Another of our core values is suitability. Running is the most eco-friendly activity there is and we look forward to working with Run 4 Wales to strive for a greener future.”

The Group has main dealerships for Audi, Ford, SEAT, ŠKODA and Volkswagen, along with a large used-car operation and a number of multi-brand service centres, body shops and TPS (trade parts division). Visit www.monmotors.com more information.
