Entries Go On Sale for Family Fun Run
Entries have opened for the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon Family Fun Run, which will take place on a 2.4km course around Cardiff’s Civic Centre on Saturday 3rd October, as part of the Lloyds Bank Festival of Running.
Entry for the event is just £8, or £26 for a family of 4. There’s no pressure to record fast times or even run all the way. Instead, dig out your best fancy dress, drag along the rest of your family and friends and enjoy the experience – with a vibrant atmosphere and loads of support from the crowd.
This year, for the first time there will also be a Lloyds Bank Toddler Dash (in association with BBC Children in Need) for younger children, along with an enhanced runners’ village, more on-course entertainment, single mile races and the return of the popular mascot race featuring a number of recognisable mascots from leading companies in South Wales.
The Lloyds Bank Festival of Running is an entire day of athletic activity to get you and your family’s heart racing. A great opportunity to get active, keep fit and embrace the fun and excitement of the overarching Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon weekend.
Whether you take part in the family fun run, sample the various come and try sports activities, enjoy the one-mile road race competition, or simply watch the hilarious antics during the brilliant mascot race, there’s plenty of entertainment on offer throughout the day. Face painting, entertainers, live music and local food and drink will also keep those less inclined to pull on their running shoes entertained.
