Childhood Day is BACK for 2023!
Taking place on Friday 9 June, Childhood Day is the NSPCC’s national day of fundraising and action. It’s a day to bring communities together to help keep children safe.
The NSPCC are the Charity Partner for the 2023 Cardiff Half Marathon, and to show our support the team at Run 4 Wales are taking part in The Childhood Day Mile | NSPCC.
Half a million children a year suffer abuse in the UK. That means 7 children in a classroom may experience abuse before they turn 18. In 2021/22, the NSPCC received 67,000 reports from adults concerned for a child they knew.
On Friday 9 June, the NSPCC are asking people to get together with their friends, family, children and workmates for the Childhood Day Mile. They’re encouraging you to move your mile, your way. Whether you walk, run, swim or cycle, your mile will raise vital funds to help prevent child abuse. £5 could answer a call to the NSPCC Helpline. £100 could answer 25 calls to Childline.
