Alzheimer’s Society continues Principality Cardiff Half Marathon partnership
The Alzheimer’s Society is proud to be continuing its Associated Partnership of the Principality Cardiff Half Marathon for 2024.
Next year’s event will be held on Sunday 6 October and entries are already filling up fast.
Alzheimer’s Society has been an Associate Partner of the race for over five years and event organisers, Run 4 Wales, are thrilled the relationship is continuing.
Matt Newman, Chief Executive at Run 4 Wales, said: “The Alzheimer’s Society has been a long-standing charity partner of the Principality Cardiff Half Marathon and we’re delighted to be teaming up once again for 2024.
“It’s predicted that by 2025 there will be 1 million people in the UK living with dementia so participants running for Alzheimer’s Society have an extremely important role to play in raising funds to allow them to continue to support those living with the disease.”
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. It campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports those living with dementia.
There are a number of places available to be part of the Alzheimer’s Society team at next year’s event. Entry costs just £15 when pledging to raise £250. Alternatively, those with their own spaces can also join the team with no minimum sponsorship target, instead raising as much as they can.
Those who don’t want to run but still want to show their support can also get involved by joining the charity’s cheer squad to help motivate participants around the course.

Feel full of pride knowing that every stride is one closer to stopping dementia devastating lives. Our 2023 team made it our most successful Cardiff Half to date!
