Volunteers

It’s a great experience and really good fun to be helping the runners. It’s a fantastic way of seeing the spirit of Cardiff.
Volunteer, 2009
You don’t need to run to be part of the biggest race in Wales! Volunteer, have fun, make friends, experience the electric atmosphere and enhance your CV.
It's a great way to experience the buzz if you have a friend or family member running, or are an Events Management student.
There are plenty of opportunities at the Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon, you can:
- Erect barriers and signage to help set up the start/finish area
- Be race stewards, directing people around the Runners’ Village
- Support all the runners at Barnardo’s cheering stations – we’ll give you everything you need to make some noise
- Hand out drinks at the water stations or goody bags at the end of race
- Manage crossing points across routes near the finish line
