To prepare for the SOLD OUT Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon, we put on 3 Training Runs to help runners work towards the 13.1 mile distance! We started with 4 miles in Llandaff Fields back on April 11, before giving runners a choice of where they would take on 6 miles in June. Pontypridd was the winner, and it was fantastic to see so many dedicated Cardiff Half runners turn out in numbers outside of Cardiff! We rounded up the series with an impressive 8 miles up the Taff Trail towards Tongwynlais from Cardiff.

It was great to see such big turn outs for each run, so thanks to all the runners who came out to train with us and share tips and hints with other Cardiff Half enthusiasts!

11 April – 4 Miles

The 4 Mile Training Run will take place on 11th April, starting and finishing at Cafe Castan in Llandaff Fields, Cardiff. The route will follow the River Taff towards the city-centre then loop back on the opposite side of the river.

Registration has now closed for this event.

6 June  – 6 Miles

The location of the 6 Mile Training Run went down to a public vote, and it was Pontypridd that came out victorious!

Registration has now closed for this event.

5 September – 8 Miles

The location of our 8 Mile Training Run was Sport Wales National Centre. Runners journeyed down the Taff Trail towards Tongwynlais before looping back, completing 8 valuable miles in their final preparation for the Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon in October.

Registration has now closed for this event.
