Rhedeg ar ran Barnardo's
Barnardo’s is one of the UK’s leading children’s charities and we organise the Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon every year.
This year, we need your support more than ever. Find out more by calling 029 2071 0122 or emailing cardiffhalfmarathon@barnardos.org.uk
Why you should run for Barnardo's
If you run for Barnardo’s not only will you be helping to transform disadvantaged children’s lives, but you’ll be supported all the way through by people who know all about the event.
Each Barnardo’s runner will receive a welcome pack including a running vest and everything you need to get sponsored. You’ll also enjoy specialist training advice, a post-race reception and a free massage. See what other extras are included.
Wendy, who ran for Barnardo's in 2008, made a video of her race. Watch it here and find out why other people ran to support Barnardo's work.
You can also use our all-new dedicated online fundraising pages.
What your sponsorship money could achieve
could provide an abused child with three vital sessions with a psychologist to help them rebuild their life
could pay for a year’s worth of support group sessions for four young people whose parents misuse drugs or alcohol
covers the weekly cost of running ten community youth groups for children living in deprived areas
could buy a specialised climbing frame to help disabled children play and build their agility
Barnardo's vital work
Barnardo’s helps over 100,000 children and their families in our vital projects across the UK, dealing with problems from homelessness and disability to bereavement, abuse and poverty.
We believe in the abused, the vulnerable, the forgotten and the neglected. We will support them, stand up for them and bring out the best in each and every child.
Barnardo's range of projects in Wales is broad, providing help and support for young carers, children with disabilities, homeless young people, parents struggling to care for their children and children who have been sexually exploited, among other vulnerable groups.
