Your feedback is making next year’s race even better

Almost 2,000 of our runners that took part in 2009 completed our post-race survey, helping to shape next year’s race. Find out what you had to say…
A staggering 80% of runners rated the Cardiff Half Marathon a very good or excellent race. Your comments included:
“The organisation was flawless and the atmosphere was wonderful.”
“It was all fantastic: the atmosphere, the perfect weather, lovely route and crowd support was fab.”
“Enjoyed the route and delighted with my time”
“It was a gorgeous day and the people in Cardiff are amazing cheerers!”
“Route was brilliant. Public were amazing. The medals were fab!”
This incredible response was reflected by the number of you who said you would take part in the Cardiff Half Marathon again, with a whopping 92.5% of runners saying ‘yes’. It is amazing to think that the event has become so popular in such a short space of time.
There was also a lot of interesting information about who our runners are! The race had slightly more male runners than female ones, 60% to 40%. Over 64% of our runners were Welsh, with 35% from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We also had runners from:

You provided lots of positive feedback on the course and organisation of the event. The atmosphere was enjoyed by many of you too and, of course, the good weather on the day. We will see what we can do to get the sunshine back again next year!
There were also several useful comments around the goody bags, water stations, the reclaiming of baggage and running chips, which we are building into our planning. We are already looking into solutions to make sure next year’s event is an even better experience for you and all our runners.
