Race day facilities

Fantastic venue, course, race marshalling and support. I have done 100s of runs and this was the best timing system - SMS and email results I have ever experienced.

Race time
The wheelchair race will start at 8:50am and the rest of the field will start at 9:00am
Water stations
Bottled Princes Gate still water will be available around the course at approximately three to four mile intervals and also at the finish.
Powerade will be available at approximately five miles. There will also be sampling in the Runners Village.
Toilet facilities
The following toilet facilities will be available:
- At the start and finish in the County Hall car park on Hemingway Road
- At Blackweir Changing Rooms
- At Pontcanna Changing Rooms
- At The Welsh Institute of Sport
- At the Cardiff end of the Barrage in the Environment Building
Shower facilities
These will be available at the Welsh Institute of Sport, Sophia Gardens at a cost of £1 per person.
Bag storage
A baggage store will be open from 7.30am at Cardiff County Hall Car Park on Hemingway Road. All runners will be allowed to deposit one bag, which must have your numbered baggage label on it.
You can collect your bag after the race on production of your runner number. Only runners and staff will have access to this area.
Please do not bring valuables with you as the race organisers cannot be held responsible if items go missing. We will do our utmost to safeguard your baggage, but the area is not a locked up secure area.
Changing facilities
All runners will have access to changing facilities before and after the race. Location to be announced. Barnardo’s runners will have access to extra changing facilities.
Race day parking
There are three 24 hour car parks in the Cardiff Bay area, with eight additional car parks in the City Centre.

Pacers
Pacers will be taking part to help runners to achieve their personal best. We will have pacers running at sub 1.30, 1.45, 2.00 and 2.15.
Photos
ASI photography will be covering the event and taking pictures of everyone as they cross the finishing line. Extra photos are also taken along the route, including photos of spectators.
Prints (framed and unframed) posters and digital images will be available to order after the event from www.asiphoto.net
