Great atmosphere, very well organised. Excellent volunteers were cheering along the way, and its a nice scenic route!

Toilet facilities

Toilets will be located near the water stations. There will also be toilets around the start/finish area and in the Runners' Village.

Bag storage

A baggage store will be open at 7.30am in the Runners’ Village in Roald Dahl Plass (the Oval Basin) in Cardiff Bay. All runners are allowed to deposit one bag, which must display your baggage label. Bags can be collected after the race upon receipt of your runner number. Only runners and staff will have access to this area.

It is strongly advised to leave valuables at home. Race organisers cannot be held responsible if items go missing. We will do our utmost to safeguard your baggage, but the area is not locked.

Race day parking

There are thousands of parking spaces in Cardiff City Centre, a short walk from the start line in Cardiff Bay. Parking spaces in Cardiff Bay are extremely limited. Traffic marshals will be on hand to direct you.

Please note that the road network gets incredibly busy so please plan your journey carefully and allow plenty of time to get to the start.

How to get to the start

  • At Cardiff Central Station, come out of the main entrance and turn right, walk straight ahead
  • At the junction with St Mary Street, turn right, go under the bridge into Callaghan Square
  • Turn left, straight on and under the bridge into Herbert Street
  • At traffic lights turn right onto Lloyd George Avenue. Continue all the way down Lloyd George Avenue
  • At the bottom of Lloyd George Avenue you will come to the Flourish (fountains) with the Runners’ Village directly in front of you in Roald Dahl Plass (the Oval Basin) where the baggage area will be situated. From here you will be directed to the race start.

Pacers

Pacers will be taking part to help runners to achieve their personal best. We will have pacers running at sub 1.30, 1.45, 2.00 and 2.15.
