The 2017 Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon race weekend takes place on Sat 30th Sept and Sun 1st October with two days of action-packed running, sport, health and well-being activities taking place in the centre of Cardiff to form the second largest half marathon in the UK.
The weekend commences with the Cardiff University Festival of Running on Saturday 30th September between 11am and 5pm. The half marathon then takes place on Sunday 1st, with trading commencing in the Runners’ Village from 8am until 1/2pm.
As part of our runners’ village, we are looking to provide a varied mix of stalls and stands from across sectors such as sport, health, wellbeing and beyond; both locally and nationwide.
Over the weekend there will be over 20,000 runners and 40,000 spectators passing through the Runners’ Village. On Saturday there will be a family fun run, mascot race, mile road race championship, come and try sports activities, talks, competitions, music and entertainment. On Sunday the village will also host entertainment, massage, charity and business stands throughout the day.
