SPOTLIGHT ON FOSTER CARE CARDIFF

facebook iconA 100-strong team from Cardiff Council’s Fostering service will run this year’s Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon in distinctive orange T-shirts. The group will be the largest corporate team in this year’s race!

They’ll be hoping to spread the message of the need for carers of every kind to start fostering in Cardiff and how rewarding it can be. The Fostering team in Cardiff do an incredible job and make a huge difference to the lives of children and young people in Cardiff.

Find out more from Prydwen Howells, one of their foster carers:

Foster carer Anthony Crother is running in the race, and commented: “I’m running for the Fostering Service Team in order to do my bit in raising awareness of the service and of the challenges facing looked after children. My wife Elaine and I have been foster carers for 17 years and I am also on the Skills to Foster Training Team, so it’s a cause close to my heart.”
