100 Days To Go Until The Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon!

The clock is ticking as the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon celebrates 100 days to go until the big race on Sunday 5th October.

To mark the 100-day milestone, organisers Run 4 Wales will be giving away a host of prizes through their social media sites. Over the next week they will also be launching a brand new 12-week training programme (courtesy of MaxiNutrition) to inspire and guide runners through to October’s event. This will be available via the Train and Prepare section of the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon website, where runners can find a whole host of top training tips and nutritional guidance to put them on the path to success.

More than 12,000 people have already signed up to take part in the 2014 edition of Wales’ largest mass participation event – a 10% increase on last year’s numbers.

Race director Steve Brace said:  “This year’s Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon promises to be the biggest and most popular to date.

“The 2014 event will also be the first time the race finishes outside the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and we feel that this slight change to the course will have a positive impact on the overall race experience.

“Whether you’re just starting to train or thinking about entering the race now, there’s a huge amount of support for runners via local clubs and the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon website.

“With dedication, a novice runner can easily prepare for a half marathon distance within 100 days. The Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon really is a great goal for those wishing to get fit and healthy over the summer months.”

Registration for Wales’ largest race is still open, so sign up today at cardiffhalfmarathon.co.uk and why not tell a friend, too!
